Everyone was very excited about going to the "Worlds". We spent 5 nights on the Gold Coast and went to Movie World, Sea World and Wet'n'Wild.
Liv's (and Dad's) favourite ride was Superman Escape at Movie World - which goes from 0-100kmh in 2 seconds and shoots up and over some really big hills with a g-force of 4.2. It's definitely the scariest ride at Movie World (although Arkham Asylum was also pretty good).
Will's favourite ride was the Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster. There were lots of monsters and scary noises at the start but they weren't actually real. It was scary when it went backwards and down the big dip!
Henry's favourite ride was Batwing which shot straight up really fast 70 metres into the air and then dropped straight back down to the ground. It took a while for Henry to summon up enough courage to go on the ride but when he finally went on he said it wasn't really that bad.
Dad loved going on all the rides with Liv (and some that even Liv wouldn't go on). His scariest was the Aqua Loop where you stand in a tube and the floor suddenly disappears from underneath you and you fall about 20-30m almost straight down and then around a big loop.
Mum was a scardy-cat, but we convinced her to go on a couple of rides. We got a really funny photo of Mum on the Wild West Adventure Ride coming down the big hill and into the water. The look on her face is pure terror!
We loved the 6 month old polar bear cub called Henry at Sea World. It was also amazing to see the dolphins jumping very high out of the water doing tricks and the big King Penguins.

Day 77-80 Hervey Bay and Fraser Island
We left the caravan in Hervey Bay and took the ferry across to Fraser Island. Fraser Island is another World Heritage Area (along with some other places we have visited on the trip - Shark Bay, the Bungle Bungles and the Wet Tropics). It is largest sand island in the world and is special as it also has areas of rainforest.
We camped in the rainforest at Central Station campground where they had fences to keep the dingoes out. The dingoes on Fraser Island are very pure, but there have been some problems because some people have fed them and some of them became aggressive towards people and had to be put down. Now they have fences to keep dingoes away from the campsites. We carried sticks around just in case.
We saw 6 kookaburras at the campsite.
The roads were very sandy and bumpy. We nearly got stuck a couple of times and needed low gear. At the start the sand was very dry because there has not been much rain but it rained the first night which made driving a bit easier (luckily the tents didn't get too wet).
The first day we went to Lake McKenzie and paddled around in the water. The lake was not the same as Mum and Dad remembered it but the sand was still very white and the water was clear. On the way back the road was very bad and the car felt like it was dancing.
The next day we drove to Eurong and then out on the beach. We went much faster on the beach because the sand was flat. There were lots of other cars driving on the beach and even a few caravans! We visited the wreck of a ship called the Maheno which was wrecked on the beach in the 1930s. The Maheno was a very fast ship in its time and sailed between Australia, New Zealand and North America. It was also a hospital ship during World War 1. The ship was being towed to Singapore at the end of its life when it was struck by a cyclone and the tow line broke.
Then we went to Eli Creek and floated down the creek and walked to Lake Wabby where we ran down the sandblow and into the water. Dad kept saying the sandblow was huge which was really annoying.
The final day we went to another lake (lake Birrabeen) and went for a walk through the rainforest then back to Lake McKenzie for lunch. Then we caught the ferry back to Hervey Bay. Fraser Island was lots of fun.

Day 70-76 Agnes Water/1770
We arrived in Agnes Water and stayed in a caravan park next to the beach. It was pretty busy because it was school holidays in Queensland and Dad had to go backward and forward lots of times to park the caravan. There were heaps of other kids to play with and we made some friends.
Next to Agnes Water is a town called 1770. It is called 1770 because that was the year when Captain Cook landed there. He stopped in the bay to make some repairs to his ship called the Endeavour.
Pa and Grandma arrived the next day and they brought our fishing rods. We went fishing on the beach and the jetty but we didn't catch much. Henry and Liv caught a few sandcrabs and Pa caught a little whiting which we used as bait. Henry also caught a whiting and we threw it back because it was too small.
The beach at Agnes Water was really good for boogie boarding and Liv got a new boogie board. We all took turns on it. Will had a really big wipeout with Grandma but he was ok. Dad made a sandcastle on an island with a moat around it.
We went to a pub to watch the Grand final and saw Hawthorn win. Dad let us have a coke and we went completely crazy! After that Dad said he wouldn't give us coke again.
Dad cooked a really good chicken curry one night. We couldn't stop eating it. Dad had a bet with Henry that if Henry beat him at chess then Dad would give him $100. Henry beat Dad the night Dad was cooking the curry. Dad claimed that he was distracted (he was also playing without his Queen) but now he owes Henry $100!
